Orla Abrahams, Co - Founder
Orla Abrahams is Co- Founder of Abrahams Industrial Minerals. With more than a decade of experience in the mining and resource sector, she specializes in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, business development, and relationship management. Her work focuses on connecting industry, government, communities, and project teams to support responsible resource development and long-term project success.
Drawing on a career that has spanned multiple industries, countries and cultures, Orla brings a unique perspective to the challenges facing modern resource development. She is particularly passionate about improving public understanding of the industries that supply the materials essential to modern life and creating meaningful connections between projects and the communities they impact.
David Thomas, Co - Founder & Vice President
David Thomas brings more than 40 years of global experience in mining, resource development, project execution, and executive leadership. Throughout his career he has led major projects, operations, and multidisciplinary teams across North America, South America, Africa, Central Asia, and Russia. His experience spans exploration, development, construction, operations, permitting, and stakeholder engagement, providing clients with practical insight into the technical and operational realities of resource development.
Over the course of his career, David has held leadership roles ranging from project engineer to chief executive officer, overseeing large-scale resource and infrastructure projects in some of the world’s most complex operating environments. His experience includes managing multinational teams, advancing major capital projects, navigating regulatory and stakeholder challenges, and delivering operational performance across multiple commodities and jurisdictions.
David is recognized for his practical leadership style, commitment to accountability, and ability to bring together technical, operational, and stakeholder perspectives to support successful project outcomes.
